Although a series of recordings receive in-depth analysis in Musical Intimacy, there are a number of recordings that we mention only briefly as examples or referents. We had discussed including a discography in the book as an appendix, but simply did not have the space to do so. Here, we present that complete discography by chapter. This discography is only comprehensive in relation to the book – it merely scratches the surface of recordings that might fall into the various styles of musical intimacy that we discuss. Each chapter entry below is accompanied by a Spotify playlist featuring a soundtrack for each chapter. What are some examples of musical intimacy that you would add to this list?
