AGORA Speakers Series
We are thrilled to be a part of the Department of Communication’s Agora Speakers Series at the University of Pittsburgh. Doubly so because the Department is Zack’s undergraduate alma mater! This event is free an open to the public.
Popular Culture Association of the South
We’ve presented on various aspects of what became Musical Intimacy since 2018, but this is the first time we’re doing so with the book out there in the world! This time around, we’ll be presenting at the annual conference of the Popular Culture Association of the South / American Culture Association of the South. More specifically, we’ll be digging into a bit of Chapter Two, and what there we describe as “the home recording aesthetic.” This is an in-person event, and registration is required.
Classroom Visit (private event)
We are thrilled to have our first classroom visit upon Musical Intimacy’s publication! This event at Tulane is not a public event, but we look forward to engaging with this group of students, and will report back about the experience on the blog!
Publication Day!
The hardback edition of Musical Intimacy is out in the world! The book should be available at all of the usual online retailers, although as of this writing, the cheapest option is to order direct from Bloomsbury.
